Pricing
Priced by the minute.
A video costs from $0.20 for each minute it runs, on the site and through the API. You pay for the length that is delivered, and a video that fails costs nothing.

The rate for each power
The bars are drawn to scale. Power is the one thing that changes the rate: language, format, voice, look and motion do not.
What a video comes to
Ivan picks a video's length from what you ask; say a length in your own words and it follows it. A video can run up to 15 minutes.
| Length | Standard | Max |
|---|---|---|
| 1 minute | $0.20 | $0.40 |
| 2 minutes | $0.40 | $0.80 |
| 5 minutes | $1.00 | $2.00 |
What you are charged for
Before a paid video starts, Ivan shows the most it can cost and sets that much aside. When the video is finished you are charged for the length it delivered, counted in seconds, and the rest is returned. The charge is never more than the amount you were shown.
A video that fails is not charged. Cancelling is free until the first scene can be watched; after that you are charged only for the scenes already made, which you keep.
Free to start
Ivan is invite-only for now. A new account starts with 3 free videos, unless its invitation says otherwise. A free video can be any length and carries a small Ivan mark. Only a finished video, or one cancelled after its first scene can be watched, uses one up.
Free videos are kept for 30 days and paid videos for 365.
What is included
Every language, landscape or portrait, every voice, every look, and motion cost nothing extra. Editing a finished video is free, up to 20 edits a day.
Attaching files to a paid video adds 10 credits (one cent) for each file. Pasted text adds nothing, and nor do files on a free video.
Credits
Prices are counted in credits: 1,000 credits are $1, so Standard is 200 credits a minute and Max 400. Credits you have bought do not expire.

Through the API
The API charges the same rates from the same credits. Every key has a monthly spending cap, a request can set its own limit with max_credits, and an estimate call prices a video without making it. Read credits and limits in the API docs.
